The Dissertations Symposium in Chemical Oceanography provides recent graduates, or soon to graduate, PhD-level chemical oceanographers with an opportunity to present their dissertation research in front of their professional peers and to forge professional relationships that will facilitate their future research and academic careers.

DISCO XXVI: October 2018

The DISCO XXVI symposium for chemical oceanographers with recent PhDs will be held in Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i in October 2018. This symposium will be jointly sponsored by the National Science Foundation and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and coordinated by the University of Hawai‘i’s Conference Center.

Applicant Information

Dissertations must have been completed after 30 June 2017, or applicants must provide certification from their department chair or Dean that they will complete their degree by 1 July 2019. Application materials will be provided on this website in October 2017.
